Staten Island, NY, March 20, 2006 - Hilton Garden Inn® Directors of Sales from across the country were in attendance at the brand’s Director of Sales Annual Conference held on March 20, 2006 in Staten Island, New York. A highlight of this year’s conference was the announcement of the Hilton Garden Inn® brand’s “Director of Sales of the Year” award that was presented to Dianne Lowe, Director of Sales for Hilton Garden Inn®-Auburn/Opelika. As the recipient of this prestigious award, Dianne was recognized as the 2005 Director of Sales who consistently “brings home the GOLD” by making a positive impact with her guests, department, teammates, hotel, and community, as well as excelling in achieving her hotel’s annual revenue goals. A true winner in all categories, Dianne was recognized as a leader in her community as an active member of both the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce, and the recipient of the 2004 and 2005 Ambassador of the Year Award for the Opelika Chamber. Included with her nomination were cards and letters submitted by guests and clients expressing gratitude for her true caring spirit. In 2005 she also was a national Hilton sales challenge winner, honored as a Stars of Alabama “Hospitality Department Manager of the Year” finalist, and was named a Hilton® “Spirit of Pride” award winner for 3rd quarter. In addition, Dianne was recognized for her performance achievements that helped the Hilton Garden Inn-Auburn/Opelika finish the year 29th out of over 250 Hilton Garden Inn’s® nationwide.

As the winning Director of Sales of the Year, Dianne will be recognized with the “Circle of Excellence” insignia printed on her business card for the life of her employment with Hilton Garden Inn hotels, a plaque and congratulations letter from Adrian Kurre, Sr. Vice President, Hilton Garden Inn Hotels, and an all expense paid trip for her and a guest to the annual “Circle of Excellence” awards program at the Hilton® Waikoloa Village, May 16-19, 2006.
