The Hotel Group's newest hotel is scheduled to open October 4, 2005 in Huntsville, AL. The 101 room Hilton Garden Inn will be conveniently located off of !-565 near the areas largest tourist attraction, the US Space & Rocket Center. The hotel should also attract the many business travelers visiting the area as it is adjacent to the Cummings Research Park, the Marshall Space Flight Center, the Redstone Arsenal and just a couple of miles from downtown. In addition to the many amenities that Hilton Garden Inn guests are now accustomed to, the hotel will also feature the brand's latest guestroom standards including a 26" wide screen HDTV, a Herman Miller desk chair and high tech VSS bedding. Vickie Thrower has been hired as the hotel's General Manager. Vickie is new to The Hotel Group, but comes with over 15 years of hotel experience all in the Huntsville area. "We are very excited to have Vickie leading our Huntsville Hilton Garden Inn," says Tom Hunt, President of The Hotel Group. "Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the business and the area should prove to be a successful combination".
